Warm Welcome Space
Our mission is to provide a warm welcome for those struggling to heat their homes this winter.Our Warm Welcome Space is FREE to enter, HEATED and able to provide REFRESHMENTS such as tea/coffee. We provide a non-judgemental space where EVERYONE can expect a warm welcome from staff and volunteers. We will abide by our usual safeguarding policies and hygiene rules and will make signposting information available to people who need further support and help. Expect GAMES, PUZZLES, FILMS, GOOD COMPANY, QUIET SPACES and more. Come along or contact the church office on 01384 397287 to find out more.
Are you self-isolating and/or stuck indoors at this time due to the coronavirus? If that's you and you are feeling unconnected and isolated, and would like some support, contact us and we'll connect you with an online community group created by Chawn Hill Church where you will get support, encouragement and practical help. Street Pastors are a welcome presence on the streets late into the night, helping to make the community safer by offering reassurance, safety and support through listening, caring and helping. Food poverty and homelessness has become a familiar and growing issue in our borough. Chawn provides financial support to Black Country Foodbank, and practically provides volunteers and supplies to our town’s local branch. Facing life alone is hard, and when you feel there is no one there to support you it is a scary place to be. At Safe Families, they offer support, hope and belonging to improve the lives of those in our community. They link children, young people and families with local volunteers who can offer them help and support. Life Centre Debt Advice
Many people have become trapped by debt, often leading to mental health issues and a sense of hopelessness. The Life Centre aims to free people from the miserable grip of debt and poverty, providing free, face-to-face and confidential support. Chawn provides volunteers and gives financially to the centre.
