Foodbank

Food poverty and homelessness has become a familiar and growing issue in our borough. Chawn provides financial support to Black Country Foodbank, and practically provides volunteers and supplies to our town’s local branch. Safe Families

Facing life alone is hard, and when you feel there is no one there to support you it is a scary place to be. At Safe Families, they offer support, hope and belonging to improve the lives of those in our community. They link children, young people and families with local volunteers who can offer them help and support. Chawn Hill Church provides financial support to Safe Families, and practically provides volunteers and supplies. Life Centre Debt Advice

Many people have become trapped by debt, often leading to mental health issues and a sense of hopelessness. The Life Centre aims to free people from the miserable grip of debt and poverty, providing free, face-to-face and confidential support. Chawn provides volunteers and gives financially to the centre. During the summer months we work with other churches to ‘Love Stourbridge’, demonstrating God’s unconditional love through quirky, quality, and socially responsible acts.
