Catherine

Chair of Trustees

My husband and I moved to Stourbridge in 1997 and with our two daughters became part of Chawn Hill Church in 2014. I have served in various different roles at Chawn before joining the leadership in 2025. When I'm not at church or working, I spend as much time as I can with family and friends. I love walking as much as I can possibly squeeze in, either with family or friends or if I'm on my own using the time to chat to God as I go. I also love reading, playing board games and sewing. I am excited to see what God has planned for us in the next season at Chawn!

Bee

Leadership Team

Hi, I’m Brenda (although I usually go as Bee). I gave my life to Jesus in 2000 and joined Chawn in 2005 as a youth worker for 12 months. After that, I decided to make Chawn my permanent home, joining the Leadership Team in 2017. I share a house locally with one human friend and a few other furry ones. Outside of church, I love a weird science fact and have a deep appreciation for all of God’s creatures be they furry, scaley, flappy or crawly. I write my own poetry and my most random hobby is Scottish Country Dancing.

My family and I have been part of Chawn Hill Church since 2005, and it’s been a real joy to get involved in lots of different activities over the years. These days, I love serving on the tech team on Sunday mornings.

Lynne

Leadership Team

I am married with two daughters who are now married, and we are enjoying this season of life as empty nesters. I love walking, reading, cooking, and hospitality. I work for the Black Country Foodbank, coordinating foodbanks across Sandwell and Dudley. Before this, I spent 28 years working as a teacher, which shaped my heart for nurturing, encouragement, and helping people grow. I am committed to the vision of Chawn Hill Church and have a desire to see people encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and experience the transforming power of God’s love in everyday life.

Nicola

Leadership Team

I became a Christian in 1976 and was blessed to have Christian parents who were a great influence in my life. I’m married with two beautiful daughters. We relocated to the Midlands in the early 90s, loved it and have lived here ever since. I do confess, coming from Somerset I still miss the sea. I am a qualified Solicitor specialising in commercial work. I love my job and am grateful that I can bring some of those skills into my leadership role here at Chawn.

Hi, I'm Paul, one of the Leadership team and also part of the Tech and Visual ministry team. Me and my wife have been at Chawn Hill Church for many years, we got married and were baptised here and together with our three children, we love sharing our faith, family, and service with the church community.

I have lived in Stourbridge and attended Chawn Hill Church all my life and seen many changes over the years. It’s a privilege to serve on the leadership team and see how God moves and blesses Chawn Hill Church for His glory.

Pastoral Care Co-ordinator

During my time at Chawn, I’ve been here since 1997, I’ve headed up different ministries but am now a part-time member of staff, heading up pastoral care and prayer. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, walking, going on holiday and feeding people!

Sharon

Administrator

In 2005 I became part of the Chawn Hill Church family. Since 2025, I’ve been working in the church office, supporting the day to day life of the church and its activities. I love creative hobbies such as sewing and crafting, which help me unwind and express myself. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, whether we’re relaxing at home or out on adventures.

Claire

Bookkeeper

I am Claire and I am the current bookkeeper at Chawn Hill Church. I joined the office team in January 2025. Our family has served in various roles with Operation Mobilisation over the past 35 years. We moved to Kidderminster in 2023 to be nearer family. We have two sons’ who are both married, one lives in Coventry and one in Denmark. I originally came from Jersey where my elderly parents still live. I started my career in Finance in Lloyds Bank at the age of 16.

Emma

Children’s Team Leader

Hi I’m Emma and I am the children’s worker here at Chawn Hill Church. I have been here since October 2017 and it has been a real privilege to run the toddler groups, Messy Churches, visit schools and see the children on Sundays and Thursdays grow in their faith. Before coming here I lived near Luton where I was a teacher (for quite a number of years). Although I loved teaching I didn’t love everything else that came with it and when God told me to leave I did and he provided this job which is a real blessing. Outside of work I love to catch up with friends over a nice meal, reading and I also enjoy Scottish dancing.

Lyndsey

Youth Leader

I’m an energetic and passionate youth leader who loves God and is committed to helping young people grow in their faith. As a secondary school teacher for over 16 years, I have the privilege of using the skills God has blessed me with to guide young people in deepening their relationship with Him. I have a heart for helping youth know Jesus more fully and develop a strong love for the Bible. I am dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space where young people can explore their faith, strengthen their connection with God and reach their full potential.
